Job Descriptions

 Objective: Design comprehensive ADA compliant job descriptions. This agreement includes the following and is fixed price. As long as we remain within the scope of this agreement there will be no add-on costs. I will help you create Americans with Disabilities Act compliant job descriptions. As part of this project, I will review all the jobs and make recommendations as to whether or not they may qualify as exempt positions under CA employment law. I will include teleconferences, as needed, to review and discuss information related to the job descriptions. I will also include worksheets to assist you in fine tuning your current drafts to better understand the difference between “essential functions” and “other duties,” This distinction is very important for understanding the ADA. The job descriptions will include the following:

  • Title Block

  • Essential Functions
  • Other Duties
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Salary Compensation System Design

Objective: Design a comprehensive Salary System. The proposal includes the following and is fixed fee; therefore, there will be no add-on costs as long as we remain within the scope of the project.

Includes:

  • Pay grade structure with range minimums and maximums
  • Merit Increase and Promotion matrix linked to ranges within pay grades
  • Placing all incumbents into a pay grade based on current rate of pay
  • Recommendations on selected exempt vs. nonexempt classifications
  • Recommended Job Family and Job Code naming system
  • Design of a basic Salary report to assist with budgeting and reviews
  • Teleconferences with client, as needed
  • Zoom management training session on how to use the salary structure

Hire/Termination Package Agreement

Objective: Design a comprehensive Hiring and Termination process. The project includes the following and is fixed fee; therefore, there will be no add-on costs as long as we remain in the scope of the project.


New Hire Process includes:

  • New Hire checklist
  • Customizable Interview Guides, Releases, Review of Offer Letters
  • Applicant tracking, Candidate, and Post Hire forms
  • Guide on conducting legal interviews
  • I-9 process Administrative Guide including forms and education
  • Copies of all required Employment forms and notices
  • Creation of a branded California compliant Job Application
  • Comprehensive, detailed, written “New Hire” policy and procedure
  • Teleconference to recommend usage and explain each form upon completion

Termination Process includes:
  • Termination risk analysis checklist
  • Copies of all required Termination forms and notices

Injury and Illness Prevention Plan

Objective: Design a comprehensive Injury and Illness Prevention Plan for your organization. The project includes the following and is fixed fee; therefore, there will be no add-on costs as long as we remain in the scope of the project. The IIPP will conform to Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, Section 3203 (T8 CCR 3203)

Injury and Illness Prevention Plan includes:

Telecommuting Plan

Objective: Design a comprehensive, customized telecommuting policy for your organization including the necessary forms and checklists to ensure the proper management oversite. The proposal includes the following and is fixed fee; therefore, there will be no add-on costs as long as we remain in the scope of the project.

  • Detailed Telecommuting Policy
  • Telecommuting Agreement for employee signature
  • Employee Telecommuting Request form
  • Management Checklist prior to granted telecommuting
  • Telecommuting Safety Checklist for employee signature (for Worker’s Comp protection)

Covid-19 Prevention Program (CPP)

Objective: Design a comprehensive Covid-19 Prevention Program (CPP) for your organization. The project includes the following and is fixed fee; therefore, there will be no add-on costs as long as we remain in the scope of the project. The CPP will conform to the COVID-19 Prevention Program (CPP) pursuant to an Emergency Temporary Standard in place for COVID-19 (California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, section 3205(c)).

The CPP will include:

  • Authority and Responsibility for the CPP
  • Identification, evaluation of COVID-19 hazards
  • Correction of COVID-19 hazards
  • Control of COVID-19 hazards
  • Investigating and responding to COVID-19 cases in the workplace
  • Communication about the employer’s COVID-19 prevention procedures
  • Training and Instruction on COVID-19
  • Exclusion of COVID-19 cases
  • Reporting and recordkeeping of COVID-19 cases
  • Return to work criteria

It will also include an Appendix with many forms to assist you with your implementation. The entire Plan will be fully editable in Word for easy customization.

 

“For Cause” Drug Testing

 Objective: Provide the policy and related investigation form to effectively handle situations where there is a reasonable suspicion that an employee is “under the influence.” Included in this proposal are the following:

  • Policy Options (based on your goals/objectives)
    • Basic “For Cause” policy
    • More comprehensive “Substance Abuse” policy
    • Very comprehensive “Substance Abuse and Search” policy
